We have been doing some celebrating--the birthday kind. Maryn turned 25 on the 29th of April. Her fun day started out with an early visit from a friend bringing some treats. LoLo's gift was very thoughtful--she brought Jell-O so that Maryn could enjoy a treat without doing too much damage to her new healthy lifestyle. (We aren't using the word diet around here!) Maryn had to go to work, but luckily her birthday fell on a day without classes so we were able to get the party started fairly early. We fed the missionaries her dinner choice--lasagna, bread sticks and a yummy salad. Lucky elders coming on a special occasion! We lit 25 candles on a banana cream pie, sang happy birthday and then opened some presents!
We extended our celebration into Friday when we went out to dinner on Friday night at Maryn's favorite restaurant--Nana's Kitchen. She said that was to celebrate the day she got her parents. Less than 24 hours after she was born, she was placed in our arms and filled up our hearts. We never tire of remembering what a miracle it was when Maryn made us a little family.
Good memories, good times--worthy of celebration.
